Statement of policy.
At Living Waters Services Ltd, safeguarding is central to the way we deliver our services and support individuals. We believe safeguarding is everybody’s responsibility and are committed to promoting the safety, well-being, dignity, and rights of the children, young people, and vulnerable adults we support.
Our safeguarding procedures operate alongside our wider governance, risk management, and quality assurance frameworks and are aligned with our regulated activities under the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Our policies should be read in conjunction with one another, depending on the age, needs, and circumstances of the individual being supported.
Safeguarding extends beyond child protection alone and includes the prevention of abuse, neglect, exploitation, discrimination, self-neglect, and harm. Whilst processes may differ depending on the individual and presenting risks, the principles of recognising concerns, responding appropriately, recording incidents, and escalating safeguarding matters remain consistent across the organisation.
This policy applies to all individuals supported by Living Waters Services Ltd, including children, young people, adults, families, and staff members. We are committed to ensuring that all individuals accessing our services are supported within environments that are safe, empowering, person-centred, and outcome-focused.
We work collaboratively with commissioners, local authorities, healthcare professionals, safeguarding teams, and partner agencies to promote positive outcomes and maintain safe practice standards across our services.
“We are committed to ensuring that those accessing our services are supported within enabling, safe, and nurturing environments that promote dignity, choice, independence, and well-being. We aim to provide individuals with the information, support, and opportunities needed to make informed decisions about matters affecting their lives.”
